Halloween Stains – A Guide to Creep Halloween Stains
Halloween Chocolate Stains
When the chocolate monster leaves behind fingerprints…
- Step 1: Start by scraping off excess chocolate before blotting the area.
- Step 2: Don’t rub at the stain. Instead, blot or dab the stain with cold water.
- Step 3: Apply dish soap to the stain and gently dab the area.
- Step 4: Once the stain has lifted, rinse with cold water.
- Step 5: Wash and dry as normal
Halloween Caramel Stains
Sticky treats that keep you glued to the laundry room…
- Step 1: Allow sticky caramel to dry before scraping it off once it has hardened.
- Step 2: Use warm water and dish soap to then loosen up any leftover caramel.
- Step 3: Using your warm water and soap mixture, gently blot and rinse the stain.
- Step 4: Continue blotting and rising until the stain has fully lifted.
- Step 5: Wash and dry as normal
Halloween Gum Stains
When the creepy crawlies weren’t the only things sticking around!
- Step 1: Use a piece of ice to freeze any sticky gum.
- Step 2: Once your gum is frozen and tougher, you can carefully scrape it off.
- Step 3: If there is any residue left over, treat it with dish soap and warm water.
- Step 4: Continue to blot and rinse until clean.
- Step 5: Wash and dry as normal
Halloween Pumpkin Stains
Well, that is not a very gourd-geous mess!
- Step 1: Begin by scraping off excess pumpkin.
- Step 2: Dab with dish soap and scrub gently. Rinse the area with cold water.
- Step 3: For orange stains, use a 1:1 mixture of baking soda and vinegar and dab it gently on the area.
- Step 4: Rinse and repeat if needed. Wash and dry as normal.
Halloween Candle Wax Stains
The ghost of candles past—sticking around longer than expected!
- Step 1: Let the wax cool and harder, then proceed to scrape it off
- Step 2: To remove any leftover wax, place paper towels on the stain.
- Step 3: Heat your clothing iron and place it on the paper towels. This will heat the wax, melting it into the paper towel.
- Step 4: Treat the area with a stain remover. Wash and dry as normal.
Halloween Makeup Stains
Ghouls just wanna have fun…sometimes too much fun!
- Step 1: Begin by blotting the stain with cold water.
- Step 2: Apply dish soap or makeup remover to the stain.
- Step 3: Blotting and using gentle circular motions, try to lift some of the excess makeup.
- Step 4: Consider using baking soda to neutralize the color, lifting the stain.
- Step 5: Repeat until the stain is gone, then proceed to wash and dry as normal.
Halloween Toothpaste Stains
At least they didn’t forget to brush their teeth after the candy feast!

- Step 1: to remove toothpaste stains, begin by blotting with water.
- Step 2: With a rag, apply laundry detergent to the stain and scrub gently in circular motions.
- Step 3: Rinse and repeat steps 1 and 2 until the stain is gone.
- Step 4: Wash and dry as normal.
Halloween Coffee Stains
When the witching hour of coffee catastrophe hits…
- Step 1: Blot any excess coffee out of the fabric asap.
- Step 2: Apply and dab in a mixture of laundry detergent and cold water to lift the stain.
- Step 3: For persistent stains use a 1:1 ratio of laundry detergent and vinegar on the area. (Let soak for 5-10 mins)
- Step 4: Rinse the area once more with cold water and apply a stain treatment.
- Step 5: Wash and dry as normal.
